Working in the UAEMedacs Healthcare New Zealand specialises in the recruitment of healthcare professionals for New Zealand and the UAE. Over the past years we have enabled nurses, doctors and those in allied health professions to enjoy the wonderful experience of living, working and travelling in the UAE. Medacs Healthcare consultants are healthcare professionals and recruitment specialists, who have worked and traveled overseas. We believe in providing our candidates and clients with service that is honest, straightforward and open, and we take pride in our high level of personalised care. Our aim is to help you find a position that offers both career growth and a great new lifestyle. We spend time talking to you so we can get to know you and you can get to know us. This helps take the unknown out of going to the UAE. We set up interviews for you, negotiate salary packages, guide you through the relocation process, arrange to have you met on arrival and provide this service free of charge. Professional RegistrationNursesAt this stage there is no formal registering body for Nurses (except at the American Hospital) however as a Registered Nurse it is essential that you maintain your existing registration in your country of origin and you will be required to show this original documentation. DoctorsFor Medical Practitioners, minimum qualifications are UK Fellowship, CCST or U.S Board Certification (or equivalent) for Associate or Assistant Consultant roles, and 1-3 years post-Board experience for Consultants. All applicants need to hold a first and/or post-graduate qualification from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. RadiographersRadiographers will be required to have 2-4 years post-registration experience from recognised training institutions from either; the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and hold current registration within the country of training. ParamedicsFor Clinical Support applicants, known as Paramedics, you will require a minimum of two years post-graduation experience from recognised training institutions in either the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, and hold relevant current registration and experience. How to apply for a visa to enter the UAEThe good news is that the UAE authorities have taken many steps to make this process as straightforward as possible. Apart from the fact that citizens of 39 countries (i.e. GCC nationals plus nationals of listed countries) do not require visas prior to arrival at a UAE airport, there are efficient systems in place to facilitate visitors not falling into one of the above categories. If you are coming to work in the UAE you will require a visa that can only be obtained on your behalf by your employer or sponsor. Go to www.government.ae for more information. |
